Hunterdon County Commissioners honor volunteers at annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch
KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Hunterdon Conty Deputy Director Susan Soloway and Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren recently attended the annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch hosted by the Department of Human Services at, Razberry’s Banquet Center, in Kingwood Township.
This event celebrates the invaluable contributions of volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to support various programs within the Human Services Department, specifically in senior support services.
Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren, who also serves as the liaison to the Human Services Department expressed his gratitude, “It is nice to see so many dedicated volunteers here today. On behalf of myself and the Commissioner Board I want to express our sincere appreciation for the important work you all do. Your dedication and compassion make a difference in the lives of our seniors and your contributions are invaluable.”
Among the various volunteer services honored at the event were the annual Art Show Committee organizers, Volunteer Drivers, “Mr. Fixit” members, Senior Center participants, and State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Counselors. Collectively last year, volunteers donated over 2000 hours of their time and played a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, ensuring they can live safely in their homes, stay active, and have access to essential services.

Your dedication is a testament to the strong community spirit in Hunterdon County and the commitment of its residents to support one another. You are the heart and soul of our senior center, and your efforts truly make a difference,” Van Doren said.
