Hunterdon County Director Kuhl tours local businesses in Readington Township

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Hunterdon County Commissioner Director Jeff Kuhl earlier this month joined Director of Economic Development and Tourism, Marc Saluk, and staff member Emily Carrier for a tour in Readington, visiting three key local businesses: CI Group, Day Tool & Management, and Doyle’s Farm.

The tour underscores the county’s commitment to fostering economic growth, supporting local businesses, and promoting tourism.

Director Kuhl expressed enthusiasm about the tour, stating, “Hunterdon County is home to a number of small businesses representing a range of industries, from advanced manufacturing and pharmaceutical research to agriculture, arts, and hospitality. Each is very important to the communities in which they are located.”

The tour began at CI Group, a leading provider of innovative workspace solutions, including full-service business brands and marketing initiatives. Director Kuhl met with the company’s President, Eric Turiansky, to discuss the company’s contributions to the local economy and explore opportunities for further collaboration.

Next, Mr. Kuhl visited Day Tool & Management (DTM), a precision machining and manufacturing company. The guided tour, led by DTM President John J. Callahan III, included a walkthrough of the facility, showcasing the advanced technologies and skilled workforce that make DTM a vital part of the local manufacturing sector. Discussions focused on workforce development, technological innovation, and the company’s future growth plans.

The final stop was Doyle’s Farm, a six-generation family farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture and community education. Co-owner Emily Doyle provided a tour while sharing the farm’s history, operations, and educational programs. The visit emphasized the importance of preserving agricultural heritage and supporting local farms as integral components of the county’s tourism and economic development strategy.

“These visits are crucial for understanding the unique challenges and opportunities our local businesses face. By working together, we can create a thriving economic environment that benefits all residents of Hunterdon County,” Kuhl said.
