Hunterdon County honors Dr. Todd Bonsall as Superintendent of the Year
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Commissioner Zach Rich and Deputy Director Jeff Kuhl recognized Dr. Todd Bonsall during a recent Hunterdon County Vocational School District Board of Education meeting after he was named Hunterdon County Superintendent of the Year.
The recognition took place June 15 during a special presentation attended by educators, community leaders, colleagues and members of the Hunterdon County Association of Superintendents.
Bonsall, superintendent of the Hunterdon County Vocational School District, was honored for his leadership in expanding educational opportunities, strengthening career and technical education programs, and helping prepare students for college, the workforce, military service and other post-secondary pathways.
Under his leadership, the district has continued to grow while developing partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions and community organizations.
“Todd Bonsall’s selection as Hunterdon County Superintendent of the Year is a well-deserved recognition of his leadership, innovation, and dedication to student success,” said Commissioner Rich. “Under his leadership, the Vocational School District has expanded opportunities for students, strengthened workforce development programs, and helped prepare young people for success in college, technical careers, military service, and beyond. His impact can be seen not only in the classroom, but throughout the entire Hunterdon County community.”
The Hunterdon County Vocational School District offers career and technical education programs in fields including healthcare, engineering, advanced manufacturing, public safety and the skilled trades. District officials said the programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences, industry credentials and opportunities to earn college credits.
Rich said educational leadership plays a key role in workforce development and preparing students for future career opportunities.
“The success of our schools is directly connected to the future success of our communities,” Rich added. “Todd’s leadership has helped create pathways that allow students to pursue their goals while helping address workforce needs throughout our region. This recognition reflects the positive impact he has had on countless students, families, and educators.”
Kuhl joined Rich in congratulating Bonsall and thanking him for his service to students, educators and families throughout Hunterdon County.
The Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners also extended its congratulations to Bonsall and thanked him for his continued dedication to education and workforce development in the county.
