Hunterdon County honors exceptional staff at annual Employee Appreciation Brunch
HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — Deputy Director Shaun C. Van Doren attended the annual Employee Appreciation Brunch on April 9, an event that celebrates the dedication and exceptional efforts of county employees.
Organized by the Employee Appreciation Committee (EAC), the event provides an opportunity for staff to recognize colleagues who go above and beyond in contributing to both their workplace and the broader community.
Commissioner Van Doren shared, “On behalf of the entire Board, I would like to congratulate all the award recipients here today. Each nominee’s story exemplifies the spirit of commitment and public service that drives the county forward. This event is a great way to recognize and honor their invaluable contributions.”
During the brunch, the following employees were recognized for their outstanding achievements, impactful community engagement, and meaningful contributions to others:

Nominations for the Employee Appreciation Awards were submitted by peers who witnessed their colleagues’ exemplary work and commitment. Committee members voted on each nomination, with selections based on the detailed information provided in each submission.
The mission of the Employee Appreciation Committee is to acknowledge the vital role county employees play in the organization’s success and to encourage supervisors to express daily appreciation for their teams. The committee meets monthly to plan employee functions throughout the year, offering opportunities for staff and their families to gather and connect with colleagues across all county departments.
