Hunterdon County honors six vocational school graduates awarded NJAC Foundation scholarships
FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners recognized six graduates of the Hunterdon County Vocational High School who received 2026 scholarships from the New Jersey Association of Counties Foundation during a recent board meeting.
Joining the commissioners for the recognition were NJAC Executive Director John Donnadio and Hunterdon County Polytech Superintendent Dr. Todd Bonsall.
The board presented a proclamation honoring Steven Rosas, Keira Tylor, Aleksandra Krutovsky, Zaira Lopez, Alejandro Miller and Danersy Aceituno Arauz for their academic achievements and plans to continue their education at New Jersey colleges and universities.
The NJAC Foundation awarded $113,000 in scholarships to 2026 graduates of county vocational-technical schools across New Jersey. The scholarship program is supported by Amazon, AT&T, SHI International Corporation and South Jersey Industries.
“These six students have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to academic achievement, personal growth, and career readiness throughout their time at the Hunterdon County Vocational High School,” said Commissioner Director John E. Lanza. “Their success reflects not only their own hard work and determination, but also the exceptional educational opportunities provided through our county vocational school. We congratulate each of these scholarship recipients and wish them continued success as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey.”
County officials said each recipient completed a four-year program at Hunterdon County Polytech while preparing to continue their education at a New Jersey county college, state college or university.
“The NJAC Foundation is proud to recognize these exceptional vocational-technical school graduates for their academic accomplishments and dedication to their future careers,” said Donnadio. “This year, the Foundation is awarding $113,000 in scholarships to students across New Jersey who plan to continue their education at county colleges and state colleges and universities. We are grateful to Amazon, AT&T, SHI International Corporation, and South Jersey Industries for their generous support of this important program, which helps prepare the next generation of New Jersey’s skilled workforce.”
The commissioners congratulated the six scholarship recipients and wished them continued success in their academic and professional pursuits.
