
Hunterdon County vocational students honored for SkillsUSA national wins
HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — The Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners formally recognized several students from the Hunterdon County Vocational School District during its June 3 meeting for earning top honors at the National SkillsUSA competition.
The students were presented with proclamations for their medal-winning performances in a variety of technical and vocational categories, reflecting the high-quality education and training provided by the district’s Polytech programs.
“These students exemplify the dedication and skill that make Hunterdon County Polytech such a standout institution,” said Commissioner Director John E. Lanza. “Their success at the national level proves that vocational education is a powerful pathway to excellence. We applaud their achievements and the commitment of our educators in preparing them for bright futures.”
Honorees included:
- Randy Stover and Kealana Forsythe – Silver Medal, State Banner Design
- Hannah Mack and Josie Pitzner – Gold Medal, Computer Animation
- Brady Miller – Gold Medal, Heavy Equipment Operator
- Samuel Cavitch – Silver Medal, Heavy Equipment Operator
The 2025 National SkillsUSA competition was held March 22 at the South County Fairgrounds in Lambertville. The event featured rigorous contests in leadership, occupational proficiency, and technical skill across some of the country’s most competitive trade categories.
The Board of Commissioners commended the students for their accomplishments and thanked the educators and staff of the Polytech School District for fostering a hands-on learning environment that prepares students for real-world success.
