Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Twp. Fire Co. to host 9/11 memorial stair climb honoring fallen first responders
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon Medical Center and the Raritan Township Fire Company will host the 13th Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sunday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at the hospital campus.
The event challenges participants to climb the equivalent number of stairs that New York City firefighters ascended in the World Trade Center towers before they collapsed during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The stair climb serves as a tribute to the first responders who lost their lives and those who continue to suffer from the physical and emotional effects of the rescue and recovery operations.
The stair climb will take place in the hospital parking garage and is open to all firefighters, first responders, and community members wishing to honor the fallen and support the ongoing needs of 9/11 heroes.
Proceeds will benefit the FealGood Foundation, a nonprofit that raises awareness about the health issues facing 9/11 responders and provides financial assistance to those in need. The foundation is widely recognized for its advocacy on behalf of emergency personnel affected by toxic exposure at Ground Zero.
Registration is $30 per person or $135 for teams of five. To sign up, visit bit.ly/StairClimb2025.
Organizers encourage participants of all fitness levels to attend and honor the courage and sacrifice of those who gave everything in service to others.
