I-80 ramp, lane closures scheduled Wednesday night in Morris, Warren counties
Two ramps and multiple lanes along Interstate 80 eastbound are scheduled to close overnight Wednesday into Thursday as a pavement resurfacing and improvement project continues through Morris and Warren counties, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
From 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, through 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, the I-80 eastbound Exit 25 ramp to Route 206 northbound and the Route 206/Route 183 southbound ramp to I-80 eastbound will be closed for paving and restriping. Detours will be in place until the work is complete.
In addition, two left lanes and the left shoulder on I-80 eastbound are scheduled to be closed between milepost 22.0, just past the rest stop in Allamuchy Township, Warren County, and milepost 27.0 near Exit 27AB/Route 206 in Roxbury. At least one lane will remain open overnight, and in areas where the highway is four lanes, at least two will remain open.
The overnight closures are part of a 14-mile pavement preservation project stretching from milepost 12.8 near Hope Road in Hope, Warren County, through milepost 27.3 near the Route 206 interchange in Roxbury. Work is expected to be completed in fall 2025.
Officials urged drivers to slow down, use caution, and expect delays in the work zone.
