JELL-O adds playful twist to holiday table with limited-edition ‘No Thanks’ Thanksgiving molds

For more than a century, JELL-O molds have been a staple on America’s holiday tables, serving up colorful, jiggly creations that bring both nostalgia and fun to family gatherings. This Thanksgiving, the iconic brand is reimagining some of the season’s most divisive side dishes with a playful twist.

Introducing the limited-edition JELL-O “No Thanks” Thanksgiving Molds — Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, and pecan pie recreated as wobbly, brightly colored JELL-O desserts that are as fun to look at as they are to eat.

Each Thanksgiving, the same sides fill the table — even if not everyone loves them. Nearly one-third of Americans list Brussels sprouts as their least favorite Thanksgiving dish, more than a quarter skip cranberry sauce, and one in five pass on pecan pie. At the same time, over 60 percent of people say they’re more likely to try dishes that look fun and believe holidays should feel playful, not formal. JELL-O’s new molds bring those two ideas together, giving the most controversial sides a second chance to shine — or rather, jiggle.

“Thanksgiving is all about togetherness, but we know not every side dish unites the table,” said Lauren Gumbiner, Associate Marketing Director at Kraft Heinz. “With our ‘No Thanks’ Thanksgiving molds, we’re turning the most debated dishes into something everyone can actually say yes to — in an unmistakably JELL-O way. Thanksgiving sides may lean beige and predictable, but JELL-O adds back color in a way that feels fresh and relevant for today’s table.”

JELL-O molds have long been part of American holiday traditions — from the vintage Golden Glow Salad to fruit-filled creations brightening Thanksgiving spreads for generations. The new “No Thanks” molds nod to that history while embracing a modern, playful spirit as consumers look for fun, nostalgic updates to classic dishes.

The JELL-O “No Thanks” Thanksgiving Molds — available in Brussels Sprouts, Cranberry Sauce, and Pecan Pie designs — will launch November 11 exclusively on Walmart.com for $4.99, while supplies last, with JELL-O included.
