LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Lambertville has been named a finalist in Parade magazine’s “America’s Favorite Small Towns” contest, earning national recognition as one of the Northeast’s standout communities.
The annual contest highlights towns across the country known for their local character, scenic appeal and strong community spirit. Lambertville joins a group of finalists competing for the national title.
The recognition adds to the city’s history of national accolades. Lambertville has previously been named one of HGTV’s “50 Most Charming Small Towns in America,” ranked among USA TODAY’s “10 Best Small Towns in the Northeast,” and its library was recognized as a finalist for the National Medal for Museum and Library Service.
Hunterdon County Commissioner Director John E. Lanza, a former Lambertville resident, welcomed the news.
“It is wonderful to see Lambertville recognized on a national stage,” Lanza said. “From its historic streets and riverfront views to its thriving arts scene and locally owned shops, Lambertville has a unique energy that draws people in and makes them feel at home.”
Officials said the recognition also highlights the city’s small businesses, including galleries, cafés, boutiques and other cultural attractions that draw visitors from across the region.
The Parade America’s Favorite Small Towns contest will continue through the spring. Regional winners are scheduled to be announced June 1, 2026, with the national winner revealed June 12, 2026.
The winning community will receive national recognition through Parade’s print and digital platforms and additional media promotion spotlighting the town and its local businesses.
