Light up Hackettstown: ‘Deck the House’ contest

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Show off your creativity and holiday decorating skills in this year’s Hackettstown’s “Deck the House” decorating contest.

“Deck the House,” is a holiday contest sponsored by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District.

The “Deck the House” sections will be Willow Grove, Centenary area homes, West Valley View Ave, Main Street, Kenwood, College View, East Prospect, and the historical district.

Decoration will need to be displayed and photo or video must be submitted by Dec. 11 and judging will take place the week of Dec. 11. The community gets to vote as well, one house will win the People’s Choice and voting will take place on Facebook.

Registration is required and you can email your photo or video submissions (max 15 sec) to socialmedia@hackettstownbid.com no later than Dec. 11.

Bragging rights and a lawn sign will be given to then homes which display the most original and festive outdoor holiday decorations.

“Drive through Hackettstown to see the beautifully decorated homes- guaranteed to put you in the Holiday spirit. Make it a night and hit one of Hackettstown’s awesome restaurants and breweries,” Hackettstown Business Improvement District Executive Director Laurie Rapisardi said.
