Long Valley man arrested following police pursuit

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Long Valley man was arrested following a police pursuit last week in Washington Township.

On February 18, at around 10:18 p.m., police attempted to stop a vehicle on Flocktown Road. The driver fled from officers, initiating a brief pursuit. However, for public safety reasons, the pursuit was terminated, authorities said.

The driver, a 45-year-old man from Long Valley, was later identified and arrested. He faces charges of eluding law enforcement as well as several motor vehicle violations. His name has not been released.

The man was released pending a court appearance.
