Man charged after police recover stolen vehicle in Warren County

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — A man was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property after police located a stolen vehicle he was allegedly occupying in Phillipsburg, authorities said.

On June 30, officers located a maroon Ford Fusion on Anderson Street that had been reported stolen out of Washington Township, Warren County. The vehicle had been the subject of a BOLO (Be-On-the-Look-Out) alert issued on June 25.

According to police, the car had previously eluded officers during attempts to recover it. Patrol officers had been actively searching for the vehicle, which was ultimately found with Al-Fatir T. Kelly inside.

Kelly was taken into custody without incident and charged with receiving stolen property. He was lodged in the Warren County Jail, where he remains in custody.
