Man charged with DWI after crash in Warren County
LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A Pennsylvania man was charged with driving while intoxicated early Saturday morning after police said his vehicle left the road and struck a treeline in Lopatcong Township.
Officers were called around 12:25 a.m. to Belvidere Road and Belview Road, where they found a vehicle that had gone off the roadway, according to Lopatcong Township Police. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Shawn M. Lubenetski of Walnutport, Pa., allegedly showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests, police said.
Lubenetski was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters, where a breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration of .124%, above New Jersey’s legal limit of .08%, authorities said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lanes, reckless driving and careless driving. Lubenetski was later released pending a municipal court appearance.
