Man charged with DWI, assault by auto after crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing multiple charges following a motor vehicle crash Friday morning in Denville Township.

On January 17, at around 11:23 a.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Route 53, authorities said.

During the investigation, it was determined that one of the drivers, 24-year-old Justin Jasiecki, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. After failing field sobriety tests, Jasiecki was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.

The other driver was transported to Morristown Medical Center with injuries sustained during the crash, police said.

Jasiecki was charged with driving under the influence, assault by automobile, careless driving, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
