Man convicted of sexual assault, child endangerment in Warren County
BELVIDERE, N.J. (Warren County) — A Warren County jury has convicted a Phillipsburg man of sexual assault, child endangerment and lewdness stemming from incidents involving a child under the age of 13, authorities said.
Kevin Micucci, 39, was found guilty Friday of second-degree sexual assault by contact, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree lewdness, according to Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone.
Jurors found Micucci not guilty on a second count of sexual assault by contact.
Prosecutors said the offenses occurred in 2018 and 2019 and involved a victim known to the defendant who was younger than 13 at the time.
The trial was presided over by Superior Court Judge Reema Sethi Kareer.
Micucci was remanded to the Warren County Correctional Center pending sentencing, which is tentatively scheduled for April 10.
He faces up to 10 years in state prison on each of the second-degree convictions and up to 18 months on the fourth-degree conviction. Prosecutors said he also will be subject to Megan’s Law registration requirements and parole supervision for life.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Brent DiMarco. The investigation involved the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the county’s Victim Witness Unit and the Phillipsburg Police Department.
