Man killed after falling from Jeep in Passaic County

WEST MILFORD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Passaic County) — A 20-year-old Haledon man died Tuesday evening after falling out of a moving vehicle on Clinton Road in West Milford Township, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and West Milford Police Chief Shannon Sommerville said the incident occurred at approximately 6:04 p.m. on June 3. Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle incident involving a Jeep Wrangler. Authorities say the victim, a passenger in the vehicle, fell out while it was in motion.

Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing. Additional details will be released when available.
