Mars launches shoppable Instagram content featuring Halloween candy, snacks and pet treats

Mars Inc. has launched shoppable Halloween content on its Instagram account for the first time, allowing consumers to discover and purchase seasonal candy, snacks, food products and pet treats from several of the company’s brands.

The new content, available through the company’s @MarsGlobal Instagram account, features products from Mars’ snacking, food and pet care businesses, including M&M’S, Snickers, Pringles, Ben’s Original, Pedigree and Greenies.

According to Mars, the initiative is designed to make Halloween shopping more convenient by bringing seasonal products and celebration ideas together in one place. Consumers can browse Halloween-themed posts, tap product tags to explore featured items and follow links to purchase products through retailers.

The company said the launch follows recent research indicating that shopping is becoming increasingly influenced by cultural trends and immersive experiences, both online and in stores.

“Whether you’re hosting friends and family or picking out treats for pets, there’s a lot that goes into Halloween,” said Tim LeBel, Chief Halloween Officer and Chief Customer Officer, Mars Snacking North America – a division of Mars, incorporated. “Our first-ever Mars Halloween shoppable Instagram content brings seasonal favorites together in one place, helping consumers spend less time searching and more time celebrating.”

The Halloween content features a variety of seasonal candy products, including Snickers Pumpkins, Twix Skull, Twix and Snickers Ghoulish Green, Skittles Shriekers, Skittles POP’d Creepy Crunch, M&M’S Halloween Blends and M&M’S Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Pie.

Other featured snacks include Pringles Original Spooktacular Snack Cups, Cheez-It Original, Rice Krispies Treats Spooky Minis and Pop-Tarts Frosted Pumpkin Pie.

Beyond candy and snacks, the Instagram posts offer ideas for Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, themed gift baskets and family meals. One featured recipe is Ben’s Original Spooky 7-Layer Dip, which the company describes as a quick and festive appetizer for Halloween gatherings.

Mars is also incorporating its pet care brands into the campaign, highlighting treats from Greenies, Pedigree and Cesar for cats and dogs. The company said the products are intended to help pet owners include their animals in seasonal celebrations.

The initiative represents the company’s first use of shoppable Halloween Instagram content across multiple Mars product categories, bringing together brands that are typically marketed separately.

Consumers interested in exploring the featured products can visit @MarsGlobal on Instagram and select the product tags on the company’s Halloween posts.
