Mars named one of Glassdoor’s Best-Led Companies for 2025
Mars, Incorporated, maker of M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN® and other well-known brands, has been named a winner of Glassdoor’s Best-Led Companies 2025 award in the United States.
The award honors companies with senior leadership teams recognized by employees for going above and beyond to redefine the workplace experience. Unlike other workplace awards, Glassdoor’s recognition is based solely on input from employees who anonymously submit company reviews.
“Being named one of Glassdoor’s Best-Led Companies is especially meaningful because it reflects honest feedback from our Associates. Leadership at Mars means investing in our people, having a positive impact on society and balancing purpose and profits. This recognition reflects the strength of our culture, and the principles that guide how we operate as a global business and that our Associates bring to life every day,” said Poul Weihrauch, CEO of Mars, Incorporated.
Mars employs 150,000 associates across 80 countries and operates with a long-term vision guided by its Five Principles: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom. As a family-owned business, Mars says it aims to balance performance with purpose while creating growth that benefits both people and pets.
“At its foundation, leadership is about trust,” said Glassdoor Chief Economist Daniel Zhao. “At a time when many workers are questioning their path forward, strong leadership can make all the difference. The companies on this list are showing that when leaders communicate clearly, prioritize people, and stay grounded in the company’s mission, employees notice — and stay. We’re proud to recognize these standout companies as examples of what great leadership looks like in today’s world of work.”
When reviewing employers on Glassdoor, employees rate several factors including CEO job performance and senior management. They also provide feedback on pros, cons, and advice to management. Glassdoor’s Best-Led Companies algorithm uses Review Intelligence™, a sentiment analysis tool that reviews trends and insights from employee comments, to calculate scores for leadership-related topics.
To be eligible, companies must have more than 1,000 employees and receive at least 75 ratings on leadership attributes between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Winners were selected based on the quantity, quality, and consistency of reviews.
Full methodology for the award is available at Glassdoor’s awards site.
