Rockaway & Jefferson Townships to Undergo Road Improvements through October

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The milling and resurfacing of Green Pond Road in Rockaway Township and Jefferson Township is scheduled to begin on Monday, Sept. 23.

The project is expected to take one month to complete, with work occurring from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Alternating traffic will be in place throughout the project to safely manage vehicle flow through the construction zone. Signage will be posted in both directions to notify motorists of the roadwork. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The project is being funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Local Aid Program and managed by Morris County. Top Line Construction Corp. has been contracted to complete the work. All construction is expected to be finished by Oct. 25, 2024.
