HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — A Long Valley man has been charged after police said he allegedly engaged in lewd conduct at the Hackettstown Community Pool.
Police responded to the pool at 499 Warren St. at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, after receiving a report of a man allegedly masturbating inside the facility.
According to Hackettstown police, officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Harry R. Muller, 77, of Long Valley. An officer observed that Muller’s bathing suit appeared to be rolled or cuffed at the seam of his right leg, shortening the length of the bathing suit. Police said that when Muller sat up, the bathing suit was high enough that his penis became visible to the officer.
Police also were advised that Muller was allegedly performing lewd gestures with a child’s bathing suit in a bathroom.
Hackettstown police detectives continued the investigation, and Muller was subsequently charged with lewdness and disorderly conduct. He was released pending a court appearance.
