Morris County man charged in fatal hit-and-run; suspect remains at large
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Authorities have charged a Morristown man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash, and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
Wilson “Adrian” Morocho-Necta, 33, is currently at large and wanted in connection with the March 20 incident, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police, fire and EMS responded around 6:53 a.m. to the intersection of Sussex Avenue and Speedwell Place for a report of a person pinned under a truck. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
Authorities said the driver fled the scene on foot.
An investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morristown Police and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office identified Morocho-Necta as the alleged driver.
He has been charged with second-degree leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and third-degree endangering an injured victim.
Officials said the investigation into his whereabouts is ongoing. Authorities noted he is commonly known as “Adrian.”
