
Mosquito spraying set for Friday in 3 Morris County towns
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods and surrounding property in Montville Township, Morristown and East Hanover Township Friday morning.
Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Friday, August 8, weather permitting, the commission said.
The following areas are scheduled to be treated:
- Montville Township: Alpine Rd
- Morristown: Budd St (Budd St Park), and Washington St (Burnham Park)
- East Hanover Township: Ridgedale Ave (Lurker Park)
The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807
The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Morristown Friday morning.
Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday, August 8, weather permitting, the commission said.
The following area is scheduled to be treated:
- Morristown: Martin Luther King Ave (Evergreen Cemetery)
The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
