Mosquito spraying set for Thursday morning in 2 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods and surrounding property in East Hanover Township Thursday morning.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • East Hanover Township: Troy Road (Patriot’s Path), and Deforest Ave (cemetery)

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807

The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Roxbury Township Thursday morning.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Roxbury Township: Orben Drive, Rogerene Way, Harriet Way, Elizabeth Way, Sherwood Way, Beech Path,  Roosevelt Way,  Spruce Path, Dawes Way, Laurel Path, Trailwood Drive, Maple Path, Oak Path, Coolidge Trail, and Oak Path.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
