Motorcycle strikes guardrail, overturns in Sussex County; rider injured, state police say

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — A motorcyclist was injured Saturday afternoon in a crash on County Route 650 in Montague Township, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded at 2:09 p.m. to the crash near milepost 7.5, NJSP spokesman Charles Marchan said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a motorcycle traveling west on County Route 650 lost directional control, struck a guardrail and overturned, Marchan said.

Non-life-threatening injuries were reported at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available, Marchan said.
