New Jersey helps decide White Castle’s next menu items with new slider, pretzel nibblers test
NEW JERSEY – New Jersey Cravers now have the chance to help shape White Castle’s national menu. The company — famous for The Original Slider — has launched two new test items in select markets, including across the Garden State, to help determine whether the products will earn a permanent spot nationwide.
The Cheddar Smoked Sausage Slider and Pretzel Nibblers are available for a limited time in White Castle test markets. Northwest New Jersey locations include Ledgewood (1113 U.S. Highway 46) and Pohatcong Township (1236 Route 22). The items are also being tested in Cincinnati and Louisville.
The Cheddar Smoked Sausage Slider features a smoked sausage link infused with cheddar cheese, topped with caramelized onions and served on White Castle’s signature Slider bun. The Pretzel Nibblers are soft, chewy pretzel nuggets fried to a golden brown, tossed in kosher salt, and paired with the chain’s warm, creamy cheese sauce.
White Castle says customer feedback in the three regions will help determine whether the new products earn a nationwide rollout.
“At White Castle, we love giving our Cravers a seat at the table when it comes to what’s the next star limited-time-offer on our menu,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. “We’ve always believed that the best ideas come from those who know the Crave best — our customers. These new test items bring big, bold flavor in bite-sized form, and we can’t wait to see if Cravers in the three markets decide if they will earn a place on our menu.”
The new Slider and Pretzel Nibblers will be available while supplies last.
