New Jersey ranks 6th for highest student loan payments, WalletHub study finds

NEW JERSEY — New Jersey has the sixth-highest median monthly student loan payment in the nation, according to a WalletHub study released Thursday.

The personal finance company found the median student loan payment per user in New Jersey is $246 per month.

New Jersey ranked sixth overall among states with the highest student loan payments.

According to WalletHub, median monthly student loan payments across the country range from $159 to $258, depending on the state. Vermont has the highest median monthly student loan payment at $258, while Wyoming has the lowest at $160.
