No foul play suspected after man found dead under Route 46 bridge in Morris County, authorities say

DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – A man was found deceased under the Route 46 bridge in Dover on Sunday night, according to Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Public Information Officer Meghan Knab.

On Jan. 5, at around 8:50 p.m., police discovered the body of a man under the Route 46 bridge after a welfare check was conducted by another individual, Knab said.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead, she added.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team responded, and no signs of trauma were found on the body. At this time, the cause of death appears to be medical in nature, and foul play is not suspected, Knab said.

The deceased was transported to the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, Knab said.
