No injuries in Hunterdon County house fire; multiple residents relocated

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Multiple residents were relocated after a house fire broke out in Readington Township on Saturday morning.

On Dec. 21, emergency services responded to a house fire located behind the Spinning Wheel Diner at 283 Route 22.

The fire, which was confined to the basement, was quickly brought under control by crews, despite the freezing temperatures and hazardous icy conditions.

While the fire caused significant smoke and water damage to the home, the diner itself remained unaffected by the blaze.

No injuries were reported, and officials confirmed that multiple residents of the home were relocated to a nearby hotel.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately clear.
