No injuries reported in rollover tractor-trailer crash on I-80 in Warren County
KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – No injuries were reported in a rollover tractor-trailer crash on I-80 in Knowlton Township Tuesday evening, according to the Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company.
At 5:02 p.m., crews were dispatched to a tractor-trailer rollover down an embankment on Interstate 80 West at mile marker 6.2.
A truck hauling a shipping container left the right shoulder of the highway, ripping out guardrail and ultimately rolling down the embankment.
The driver was not injured and refused treatment.
There was a delay in obtaining a detailed list of the shipment, but it was determined to be non-hazardous.
Crews assisted in checking for fuel leaks and controlling traffic while several tow operators prepared to lift the truck and trailer up the embankment. The fire company was assisted by NJ State Police Hope Barracks and NJDOT Emergency Response Officials.
