Parsippany police search for missing autistic man
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a 31-year-old man who was reported missing Tuesday morning in Parsippany.
The Parsippany Police Department is attempting to locate Jigar Prajapati, who police said is autistic and was last seen at his residence on Califon Road at about 3:30 a.m. Aug. 11.
Police believe Prajapati left the residence on foot sometime between 3:30 and 6 a.m.
Prajapati is described as approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue pajama pants and a T-shirt of an unknown color, according to police.
Police said Prajapati does not have his cellphone with him.
Authorities are asking residents in the surrounding area to check their properties and review home surveillance or other security camera footage for possible sightings.
