Peter Rabbit fruit puree pouches sold at Target, other retailers recalled over plastic concern

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that PT Organics Limited is voluntarily recalling select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry fruit puree pouches because they may contain strands of soft plastic.

The recall affects Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry 4-ounce (113-gram) pouches sold exclusively at Target, Kroger and Meijer stores nationwide between March 6 and July 13, 2026.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after the company’s packaging supplier recalled a production run of defective pouches. PT Organics said inspections of finished products confirmed that a small number of pouches contained a strand of soft, food-grade plastic attached to the inside of the packaging.
