Phillipsburg police seek man wanted on assault, criminal mischief charges

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — The Phillipsburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on charges of simple assault and criminal mischief in connection with an incident reported in September.

According to police, Nazim Hussain, 32, was charged on Sept. 19 after allegedly injuring a victim and damaging their property. Authorities said Hussain also made a comment during the incident suggesting he “was going to have a reason to go to jail.”

Hussain’s whereabouts are currently unknown, police said. Investigators released a wanted poster Wednesday containing his photo and physical description. Hussain is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 210 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
