Phillipsburg police seek man wanted on burglary, credit card theft charges
PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Phillipsburg police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on burglary and credit card theft charges stemming from a reported break-in at a South Main Street business last year.
Police identified the man as Terry A. Brandon and said a warrant has been issued after he failed to appear for scheduled court dates in Warren County Superior Court.
Brandon is described as a 46-year-old man with brown eyes and black hair, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds, police said. His date of birth is Aug. 6, 1979.
According to police, officers were dispatched Jan. 30, 2025, to a business in the 100 block of South Main Street after the owner, who was viewing surveillance video off-site, reported a burglary. Police said Brandon was seen behind the business wearing clothing that matched the description provided by the owner.
During the investigation, police said, Brandon was found to have several active bench warrants out of Phillipsburg Municipal Court and was in possession of a credit card scanning device, banking items that did not belong to him, and narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Police said he was arrested, taken to the Warren County Jail and later released pending court appearances.
Police said Brandon may be in the Phillipsburg area or in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Phillipsburg Police Department at 908-835-2002. Police said callers may remain anonymous.
