Phillipsburg shooting suspect arrested in Pennsylvania, faces multiple charges

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Phillipsburg, according to the Phillipsburg Police Department.

The update, released Sunday evening, stated that the arrest was made through a joint effort involving the Phillipsburg Police Department, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, the New Jersey State Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, and several other law enforcement partners.

Details regarding the suspect’s identity or charges were not released.

The shooting was initially reported at approximately 3:36 a.m. on Aug. 3, when Phillipsburg officers responded to the 400 block of Anderson Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and found evidence consistent with a shooting. Police did not say whether anyone was injured.

The investigation remains active. Authorities said there is no active threat to the public.
