Project Self-Sufficiency invites parents to share feedback at June advisory board meeting
NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — Local parents are being invited to share their perspectives on family needs, challenges and community services during an upcoming Parent Advisory Board meeting hosted by the Journey Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency.
The meeting will be held June 18 at 5 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency, 127 Mill St., Newton. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss issues affecting local families, identify gaps in services and offer suggestions for future programs and events.
Family Success Center staff will also provide information about resources available to area residents and gather feedback to help shape future programming.
Dinner and childcare will be provided for those attending in person. The meeting will also be accessible virtually through Zoom. Individuals attending their first Parent Advisory Board meeting will be eligible to receive a gift card.
“Input from parents is crucial to the success of the Family Success Center and we are excited about offering residents the opportunity to meet area providers, express their concerns about gaps in services, and identify strategies for moving forward,” said Deborah Berry-Toon, executive director of Project Self-Sufficiency. “The Family Success Center has supported Sussex County parents and children for many years, and we are looking forward to responding to the needs of area families and incorporating their suggestions into existing and new programs for the community.”
Advance registration is required for in-person attendance.
