Senator Bucco commends bipartisan efforts to preserve Drew Forest

MADISON BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) issued a statement commending the ongoing work of federal, state, and local stakeholders for their effort to preserve Drew Forest.

“Senator McKeon and I have made significant progress in our effort to protect Drew Forest from development by uniting a bipartisan group of elected officials to secure essential funding from the State,” said Bucco. “I commend the dedication of federal, state, and local stakeholders who share a deep commitment to protecting our invaluable open space and forestry and urge the invested parties to reach an agreement. Thanks to our collective efforts, we’re moving closer to the finish line on a deal that will safeguard the natural beauty and ecological significance of Drew Forest for future generations.”

Senator Bucco led a bipartisan delegation of federal, state, and local officials to secure state funds to help local stakeholders purchase and preserve Drew Forest from being sold to developers.
