VERNON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Mountain Creek Resort has announced that its new tubing center is officially open for the 2024-2025 winter season.
Conveniently located at the resort’s Cobblestone Village, Mountain Creek’s tubing center is the ultimate destination for family fun and groups of all sizes. The tubing center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday for its opening weekend, with advanced reservations required.
Currently, seven lanes are open, each measuring 500 feet. Guests can grab a single or tandem tube, take the magic carpet lift to the top of the hill, and enjoy the ride down. As the season progresses and snow coverage increases, the tubing center will expand to accommodate more lanes and guests. Normal operating hours, Sunday through Saturday, will begin the following week.
“We’re thrilled to welcome guests back this Saturday for what’s one of the earliest starts ever for tubing here at Mountain Creek,” said Evan Kovach, General Manager of Mountain Creek Resort. “Mother Nature has been quite kind, and we’ve been able to produce enough snow at the tubing center to have several lanes shaped and groomed. Whether it’s families looking for a fun morning or afternoon activity, groups, or even adults looking for date night ideas, tubing is open for all.”
All riders must be at least 42 inches tall to ride alone. Those between 36 and 42 inches are required to ride in a tandem tube or chain link with a responsible adult. Lap riding is not permitted. Parking for the tubing center is available in the Vernon General Parking Lot, located near Cobblestone Village.
Appropriate winter gear is highly recommended, including outerwear, socks, and boots. Ski boots are not permitted.
