SOMERVILLE, N.J. (Somerset County) — The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office hosted its 7th annual Pink Car Ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month and highlight the importance of early detection and annual mammograms.

As part of the initiative, six police vehicles will be wrapped in pink throughout the month of October to raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer.

The participating departments include the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, Far Hills Police Department, Peapack-Gladstone Police Department, Branchburg Police Department, and Manville Police Department.

Officials said the pink patrol cars serve as both a symbol of solidarity and a visual reminder to residents to schedule their annual mammograms.

The Prosecutor’s Office extended its appreciation to event sponsors, including RWJ Barnabas Health, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset–Rutgers Cancer Institute, Peapack Private Bank & Trust, the Far Hills Race Meeting Association, and Open Road Auto Group, for their continued support of the initiative.
