Structure fire in Allamuchy Township under investigation; no injuries reported

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Firefighters extinguished a structure fire Sunday afternoon in Allamuchy Township, with no injuries reported, authorities said.

The Allamuchy Township Fire Department was dispatched at 2:56 p.m. to Meadowlark Lane for a reported smoke condition. The call was quickly upgraded to a structure fire, and a first-alarm assignment was requested.

Upon arrival, the incident commander confirmed a working garage fire. Crews deployed handlines and began an interior attack while additional firefighters conducted primary searches and performed overhaul operations to check for extension and hidden hot spots.

No injuries were reported among occupants or firefighters.

Multiple area departments assisted at the scene, including fire companies from Green Township, Hackettstown, Independence, Hope, Budd Lake, Netcong and Byram. Blairstown and Mountain Lake fire departments provided station coverage during the incident. The Allamuchy Green First Aid Squad stood by on scene and provided rehabilitation services for firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Mount Olive Fire Marshal’s Office.
