Suspicious person call leads to drug arrest of Morris County man

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 9-1-1 call reporting a suspicious person allegedly ingesting pills on Diamond Spring Road led to the arrest of a Rockaway man on drug-related charges in Denville Township, according to police.

On July 13, at approximately 5:16 p.m., officers responded to the area and located a man later identified as Enes Pupovic, 37, on West Main Street. During their interaction, officers determined that Pupovic was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Pupovic was arrested at the scene and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Following his arrest, Pupovic was released into the custody of a family member pending a future court appearance.
