Sussex County Community College’s Arbor Bake Shop reopens for semester

NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — The Arbor Bake Shop at Sussex County Community College’s Culinary Institute has reopened for the semester, offering pastries, baked goods and beverages prepared by students in the college’s Baking and Pastry Arts program.

The bake shop is open to the public from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Fridays through May at 47 Main St. in Newton.

This semester’s menu includes croissants, doughnuts, scones, quiche, cinnamon rolls and other baked goods, along with freshly brewed specialty coffees and teas.

Weekly specials are also available for preorder. Orders must be placed by Tuesday for pickup Friday.

The Arbor Bake Shop provides students in the Baking and Pastry Arts program an opportunity to prepare pastries and confections for customers as part of their culinary education.
