Sussex County Library System launches 2025 Summer Reading Program with prizes and events for all ages
SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J. — The Sussex County Library System is inviting readers of all ages to join its 2025 Summer Reading Program, Color Our World™, running from June 26 through July 26. Participants can read or listen to books, graphic novels or magazines and attend library events to earn raffle tickets for prizes.
The program kicks off Thursday, June 26, with Meg’s Artistry workshops for teens and tweens at 11 a.m. at the Dorothy Henry Branch in Vernon and 1 p.m. at the Franklin Branch in Franklin. Meg returns Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at the Dennis Branch in Newton.
Families with young children can catch Color Your World with Books, a magic show by Brian Richards, on Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at the Main Library in Frankford and 12:30 p.m. at the Louise Childs Branch in Stanhope. On Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m., Mark Ghia will present Mr. UnPoppable’s POP ART Balloon Show at the Sussex-Wantage Branch in Wantage.
Adults can take part in a watercolor painting workshop with local artist Regina Orr at 12:30 p.m. June 28 at the Main Library.
Throughout the summer, the library will offer activities including crafts, STEAM programs, storytimes, book clubs, games and more for children and teens. Adults can join workshops covering arts, crafts, needlework, cooking and healthy living.
