Sussex County Library System seeks teen volunteers for ‘Color Our World’ summer reading program

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is seeking teen volunteers, ages 14–18, to assist with its upcoming summer reading program, “Color Our World.”

Teens looking to earn service hours this summer can apply online at Sussex County Library Volunteer or by visiting their local library branch.

The volunteer application, along with a supplemental medical note and parent consent form, is due no later than June 14. Applicants must also attend a Teen Volunteer Orientation at their local branch. Details on orientation times, dates, and locations are available at sussexcountylibrary.org/events.

The Summer Reading Program kicks off on June 26 with special opening events at each library location and runs through July 26. In addition to volunteering, teens are invited to participate in the program by reading books, earning raffle tickets, and entering to win prizes.
