Sussex County restaurant burglarized on New Year’s Day

HOPATCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – The Hopatcong Police Department is investigating a commercial burglary that took place at Chapala Grill 4 on Lakeside Boulevard in the early hours of January 1, 2025.

According to authorities, the suspect was captured on surveillance footage breaking into the business and stealing money at around 3:30 a.m. The individual, believed to be male, was dressed in all black and was seen riding a bicycle to and from the scene.
