Swimming at Hopatcong State Park to close for season Sunday
ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Swimming at Hopatcong State Park will close for the season Sunday as lifeguards return to school or other jobs, according to a park advisory.
The swimming area will close at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
The closure applies to swimming at Hopatcong State Park. Other areas of the park are not included in the advisory.
Swimming will remain available at Swartswood State Park and Wawayanda State Park.
Visitors planning to swim at a New Jersey state park are encouraged to check the state’s swimming schedule before traveling because availability can vary by location.
