Table of Hope to once again hold Backpack Giveaway at County College of Morris

Free Supplies for a New School Year

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – County College of Morris (CCM) is thrilled to partner, once again, with Table of Hope and other community organizations, for a free backpack and school supplies distribution event for Morris County families getting their kids ready to go back to school.

The Backpack Giveaway takes place on Friday, Aug. 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Parking Lot 1 at CCM, 214 Center Grove Road, in Randolph Township.

Recipients must be residents of Morris County and are encouraged to register online at https://tableofhopenj.org/.

In addition, all recipients must remain in their vehicle for the distribution. To ensure safety, no walk-ups are allowed. Backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last to Morris County families in need.

CCM has been partnering with Table of Hope and other community organizations for the Backpack Giveaway, in addition to the annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway that provides essentials for over 600 families each November. These events have been supported by Table of Hope in addition to CCM and its employees, local and state officials, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, Alstede Farm, numerous corporate partners, other sponsors and a tremendous team of volunteers.

“CCM is dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities and this is one example in action.  It’s an honor to partner with Table of Hope for the Backpack Giveaway each year,” said Anthony J. Iacono, president of CCM. “As the community’s college, our partnerships help ensure that every student has access to the necessary resources to succeed in their studies. By providing these supplies, we hope to alleviate some of the financial pressures that can come with back-to-school expenses.”

Since 2011, Table of Hope has been committed to improving the quality of life for Morris County families, constructing pathways to economic stability, educational excellence and holistic well-being. To make a donation, visit tableofhopenj.org/donate.
