Tap Takeover returns to Milford to launch 2025 Hunterdon Beer Trail Passport season

MILFORD BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Beer Trail’s popular Tap Takeover event returns Sunday, June 1, at Descendants Brewing Company, 61 Bridge St., in Milford. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. and marks the launch of the 2025 Beer Trail Passport season.

Brewery owners and brewers from all eight of Hunterdon County’s craft breweries will be on-site to mingle with attendees, answer questions and serve up a wide range of local brews. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample beer from every brewery on the trail in one location.

In addition to beer, food will be available for purchase from Descendants Brewing Company. The event will also feature Beer Trail giveaways and the first chance to pick up the new 2025 passport.

The Beer Trail Passport, a tradition since 2021, encourages participants to visit each of the eight breweries throughout the year and collect stamps along the way. Those who complete their passports will receive a commemorative Beer Trail pint glass, which will be unveiled at Sunday’s event.

A new feature this year is an exclusive after-party in January 2026 for those who turn in completed passports. Additional details will be announced later this year.

The Hunterdon County Beer Trail is managed by the county’s Explore Hunterdon tourism initiative in collaboration with its local breweries. More information is available at ExploreHunterdon.com or by calling the county tourism office at 908-399-1108.
