Target has voluntarily recalled several varieties of Up & Up baby wipes sold nationwide after testing identified potentially harmful bacteria in product samples, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall affects certain lots of Up & Up Fragrance Free Baby Wipes and Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes sold in Target stores and through Target.com.
The recall was initiated following customer complaints of product discoloration and FDA testing that detected the presence of Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, bacteria that can cause serious infections, particularly in newborns, infants, young children and people with weakened immune systems.
According to the FDA, use of contaminated wipes may lead to local skin infections and, in more severe cases, bloodstream infections, sepsis or pneumonia.

The recalled fragrance-free wipes were manufactured between Nov. 7, 2025, and May 5, 2026, with expiration dates ranging from May 10, 2028, through Nov. 5, 2028.
The recalled cucumber-scented wipes were manufactured Dec. 29-30, 2025, with expiration dates of June 29-30, 2028.

Target said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled wipes and return them to any Target store for a full refund.
The retailer and manufacturer Sapro Temizlik Urunleri have received consumer complaints and adverse event reports involving product discoloration, skin irritation, eye irritation and infections potentially linked to the wipes. The reports remain under investigation.
