Thanksgiving morning fire contained to garage in Morris County
MINE HILL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Thanksgiving morning house fire in Mine Hill Township was contained to a garage after crews from multiple agencies responded to Maple Avenue, the Mine Hill Township Fire Department said.
Firefighters were dispatched early Thursday for a report of a residential structure fire. According to the department, the first arriving chief requested a second alarm after finding an advancing garage fire.

Atlantic EMS, Wharton Fire, Randolph EMS, the canteen unit and Wharton police also assisted at the scene.
The department said the fire was successfully contained to the garage and that the homeowners did not sustain damage to other areas of the house.
